Those broken words can't heal me now
nor can a wicked page
There is no cure for wisdom here
unless perhaps old age
Forgetting what had once been learned
takes nothing but your mind
And knowledge that is given to
the souls both dumb and blind
Until the pool of gratitude
will stream again and tells
The tales of eras far beyond
with creatures under spells
To pass it through across those lands
and release our eyes at last
No not to teach, but to forget
I free us of our past
For too much knowing is a pain
I wish no one to bear
Divide is only one true way
for comfort, we will share
The thoughts so easily confused
with dreams that do you harm
We broke them down and torn apart
that everlasting charm
nor can a wicked page
There is no cure for wisdom here
unless perhaps old age
Forgetting what had once been learned
takes nothing but your mind
And knowledge that is given to
the souls both dumb and blind
Until the pool of gratitude
will stream again and tells
The tales of eras far beyond
with creatures under spells
To pass it through across those lands
and release our eyes at last
No not to teach, but to forget
