Apparently it’s a Monday. I don’t really have a Monday feeling but that’s just what I love about holidays. I know very well the date, since I write that one down every day but I’m completely confuzzeled when it comes to days. It doesn’t matter here, life goes on without knowing. It means we have five days left in this place. Five days at the last hotel. We’ll probably fill it with lots of swimming. Some days we might go somewhere, we’ll see in about an hour what Baba has to offer. Anyhow, last day was swimming in the pool, dining with delicious food once again and heading to bed early once again too. Having airco makes life easier over here, although right now my nose doesn’t really agree. A slight cold in The Gambia, I didn’t anticipate that.
Nothing really happens when you reside at the beach. Lazy walks on the beach with Baba and Assan to see what’s open this time a year. Ended up to be only two places, it’s very low season and Ramadan too. Two including the GFC, Gambian Fried Chicken. For the rest I decided to look for a nice bag and still a charm left to buy. Went to a minimarket and bought cookies for lunch. Had a swim in the sea, which has enormous waves by the way, and gave the local guard something to do as we needed beach beds to lay on and read books. Went back to the room and started writing. Today up and until now was lazy. I like it.
